Andra Day is from San Diego, California, where she studied singing at the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA).

"Cheers To The Fall", Andra's debut album released in 2015, was produced by Adrian Gurvitz and Raphael Saadiq, and features Questlove and James Poyser of The Roots, as well as DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Dap-Kings of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings.

The video for the first single from the album, "Forever Mine", is directed by Spike Lee. Andra Day performed her second single "Rise Up" at the 2015 BET Awards.

Andra is featured in the "Someday At Christmas" Apple commercials with Stevie Wonder, who discovered her.

Andra performed a duet of "Rise Up" & "Love Me Like You Do" with Ellie Goulding at The GRAMMYs.
